Dreamt last night that I went back to England to visit my friend there. For some reason, she was trying to run a bed & breakfast in Brighton by herself and asked me to stay over there for a little while to help her, um, as a sort of indentured servant. The rooms had secondhand furniture in them, and she was putting me up in one of them. She asked me to stay over for a couple of weeks and then we'd figure out some payment plan. But she really wanted me to stay for months.
Eventually we were out walking in Brighton (IRL she doesn't live there anymore) and we stopped in a neighborhood grocery store and the grocer was charging 5 pounds for a bag of Chex Mix (that's about 10 dollars).
And other stuff happened, but those were the strangest points. I think my brain is trying to tell me that I need to write my friend!
Downtown is this unique show we have on the PBS station here in Austin (KLRU) which focuses on downtown culture. And I'm so excited that they've put episodes online and made them embeddable! This story focuses on Caritas, a great downtown non-profit that we've taken the youth group to volunteer at (it's within walking distance from my church). Chantal, who is part of the focus of this story, no longer works at a hotel, but still attends my church. Things are looking very hopeful for her husband's coming to the States.
Admission: I haven't finished uploading all my photos from my last trip yet, so who knows when I'll get all my pics from NM up? Here's a taste of what's up so far.
I visited Kristina in Santa Fe (that's her vox, but I don't think she's used it in a long while).

Last year on this day I was in New Mexico visiting Kristina and her family.
We took a trip to Carlsbad Caverns while I was out there, but I don't recall what I did this specific day.
Who was your first celebrity crush?

I wish I remembered all the C-list adolescent boys whose photos Genevieve and I culled from "Bop" and other sundry late 80s pre-teen magazines. The only one I can recall is Joey Lawrence. Or was it Fred Savage? Since the magazines were hers, Genevieve got first pick and I got the leftovers. I didn't watch either of their shows, I just thought they were cute.
I remember I posted them on the back of the door in Leah's and my room because Dad never looked there. I don't recall them being discovered.
Show us love.
